URC 551 IR/UHF universal remote control

Need a replacement remote control? The URC 551 IR/UHF works with all 500 series Shaw Direct satellite receivers and is packed with advanced features like no line of sight, volume lock, and a master on/off control.

Consolidate up to five electronic devices

You can operate the following electronic devices on the URC 551 IR/UHF universal remote control:

• Satellite receiver, television, VCR, DVD player, and audio receiver including amplifiers and CD players

Some of the key features of this remote control include the following:

• Preprogrammed control to operate the satellite receiver supplied by your satellite service provider
• Programmable Master Power key for master on/off control of your home entertainment equipment with a single keystroke
• Volume Lock for one mode or individual modes
• Device Key Re-assignment to remotely control a second (duplicate) device
• No line of sight so you can control your home entertainment system from any where in your home

NOTE: All new Shaw Direct receivers include a remote control. The URC 551 IR/UHF universal remote control is intended as a replacement or extra remote control. The URC 551 IR/UHF works with 500 series receivers only.
The UHF antenna must be installed for the URC 551 IR/UHF remote to work in UHF mode.
UHF mode only available on HDDSR 505, DSR 500, HDPVR 530 and compatible 400 series receivers equipped with an installed UHF antenna.
