Twice a year, satellite customers will experience varying degrees of signal interference caused by sun transit, a phenomenon where the sun aligns with all orbiting satellites and receivers on the ground.

The sun causes interference, ranging from a snowy screen to complete signal loss. The interference can last up to 20 minutes each day for up to 14 consecutive days.

These technical difficulties are temporary and completely out of our control. You don't need to adjust your television or satellite dish during this period; signals will return to normal shortly. Also, please keep in mind that individual channels may experience difficulties during this time since their signals may also be interrupted by sun transit.

Transit Times - Fall 2011

The Fall 2011 sun transit will occur from October 7 - 15, 2011.
