What is the difference between Shaw Direct On Demand and Shaw Direct Pay Per View?Shaw Direct On Demand requires a high-speed Internet connection to your satellite receiver and lets you watch a movie or series title any time you want. You can pause, fast forward and rewind your selection with your Shaw Direct Remote - even if you don't have a PVR. There are over 9,000 free, included-with-subscription, and pay titles available on-demand.
Shaw Direct Pay Per View features the latest new release movies and special events which start on a set schedule. You can order by phone, and don't need to hook anything up to your satellite receiver for Pay Per View access. If you have an HDPVR, Pay Per View titles recorded are available for unlimited viewing up to 48 hours after the original airing.
Can I access Pay Per View?Yes, all residential Shaw Direct subscribers have access to Pay Per View and can order through the automated phone system at 1-866-782-7778. The type of equipment you have, including the satellite receiver and dish on the outside of your home, will determine exactly how many Pay Per View channels you see in your Guide.
How do I find Pay Per View in my Guide, and how much does it cost?
Pay Per View channels are grouped by type. Open your Guide, and enter the first channel number for each block to start browsing.

How do I pay for my Pay Per View order?Pay Per View orders are billed to your Shaw Direct account and will appear on your next invoice. If you have a coupon on your account, eligible orders will be credited automatically.
Shaw Direct offers discrete billing for Adult-rated orders.
I can't find some of the Pay Per View channels listed above. How do I get access?Along with over 100 other new channels, many of the Pay Per View channels are located on our new third satellite. Open your Guide and go to 988 (English) or 987 (French) to see what equipment needs to be upgraded for access. Give us a call at 1-866-782-7691 when you're ready to upgrade. You'll even get a coupon for 8 regular Pay Per View purchases!
How can I prevent my kids from making unauthorized Pay Per View purchases?You can use Parental Controls to prevent instant ordering (available on certain models only) or the viewing of rated content without entering the Parental Controls password. Press OPTIONS on your Shaw Direct remote to get started.
If set, orders via the automated phone system will require the entry of your Pay Per View PIN. Speak with a customer service representative to set or change your Pay Per View PIN.
