First generation receivers (Navigo) freezing issues

Legacy receivers are those manufactured from approximately 1997 to 2005. They may be labelled as “Navigo” models and do not show program video in a small corner window when browsing the on-screen Guide.

New account

Some Legacy receiver can be temporarily frozen when first activated on a new account, or when upgrading your dish for the first time.

  • If this is the case wait approximately 15-20 minutes for the information to load into the receiver.

Note Legacy receivers that have not previously been activated on an account can no longer be added to a new account.

Existing account

If this is an existing receiver on your account and it is frozen, try unplugging the receiver for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.

  • If your receiver is still not working once it has powered back on, please follow the instructions listed in our Service Bulletin.
