Setup and Management of Rogers Xfinity Stream app Parental Controls

The Rogers Xfinity Stream app includes the ability to set parental controls which allow you to limit the types of content available for streaming and download through the app. If you have the app installed on multiple devices, please be aware that parental controls must be set up individually on each device as they are not account based, and are separate from the parental controls you can set up through a satellite set-top box.

To set up parental controls in the Rogers Xfinity Stream app, you will first need to create a PIN. To set up a PIN for the first time, you will need to:

1. Open the Rogers Xfinity Stream app on your mobile device
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Select Parental Controls
4. Move the parental controls toggle to the "On" position
5. Enter a 4-digit PIN

This PIN will be required to access parental control options in the future, so please ensure that you remember it for future reference. Once a PIN has been set you can set your parental control preferences which include enabling safe browse, setting movie and TV ratings and locking networks and titles.

Safe Browse prevents the display of adult titles and descriptions. Safe Browse does not prevent the playback of content. To lock content with a Parental Controls PIN, be sure to set restrictions based on ratings and more.

Lock movies based on their ratings.

No one under 17 years old is admitted

R

Restricted. Under 17 years old requires accompanying parent or guardian

PG-13

Parents strongly cautioned. Some material might be inappropriate for children under 13

PG

Parental guidance suggested. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13

General audiences. Contains nothing that would offend parents for viewing by their children

Lock television shows based on their rating.

TV-MA

These programs are specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17

TV-14

These programs contain some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age.

TV-PG

These programs contain material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.

TV-G

Most parents would find these programs suitable for all ages.

TV-Y7

These programs are designed for children age 7 and above.

TV-Y

These programs are designed to be appropriate for all children.

Here are some additional settings to assist in managing parental controls within the Rogers Xfinity Stream app.

Networks and channels

This setting allows you to lock all networks and channels, or lock specific networks based on your preference.

Program titles

Manage parental control locks on specific shows and movies. Titles added to this section of the app have been added to the list via the "Lock" option that is present while viewing a television show or movie page. To lock individual tiles, navigate to the Info page for that tile and tap "Lock".

Reset Parental Controls

You can reset any ratings, channels, and more. But remember, Parental Controls PIN will not be reset.
