Troubleshooting: Missing or wrong guide information
Overview
Learn how to fix the Guide when it is missing or showing wrong information.Troubleshooting incorrect guide information
Sometimes, your satellite tv guide might show wrong information (what’s airing is different from what is on the guide). This does happen normally. Broadcasters provide their programming schedules in advance. Occasionally, they may decide to change their programming last minute. As such, there is little to no time to update it on the guide.
However if you have noticed that this is happening more often than not, you can try to troubleshoot by:
- Unplugging your set-top box, waiting 20 seconds, plugging it back in and giving the guide time to load the information again. If this doesn’t correct the Guide information, it may be a result of the broadcaster.
- Check future listings in the Guide. If they are accurate this may be a one-time issue
- Check to see if this a repeat program
If you encounter this more than once on a weekly airing, please advise us so we can investigate it further.
Missing guide information (No Data)
When your Guide shows “No Data”, it means that the guide information is still loading. This is a normal behaviour when:
- You just activated your set-top box
- You just plugged your set-top box back.
Loading guide information can take up to 30 minutes. If “No Data” is still showing after 30 minutes:
- Unplug your set-top box
- Leave it for 20 seconds
- Plug it back in.
- Give the guide time to load the information again.
